Extremely disappointing experience with this
Extremely disappointing experience with this dealership. We purchased a brand-new 2026 Chevrolet Colorado with only 2 miles on it, and it now has approximately 4,000 miles. The truck has been in the service department three times for the same steering issue, including 17 days during this most recent visit. The steering catches while turning and will not smoothly complete the turn. At times, it feels like it stops or locks, which is a serious safety concern. After three service visits, we still did not have a resolution. We asked to speak with the General Manager multiple times, but he never came out to speak with us. Instead, the Sales Manager tried to put us into another vehicle but would not honor what we had already paid for the Colorado, stating that the truck had lost value while sitting in their service department. After all of this, my husband told them we would be filing Lemon Law paperwork. Suddenly, a possible fix became available that same day. We were then told the truck was fixed and that we would be the testers to see if it works . What about our safety. After three service visits and 17 days in the shop, we should not have to be the test drivers for a new repair on a steering issue. We bought a new vehicle expecting it to be safe and reliable, and we expected the dealership to stand behind what they sold us. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience.

My car that I traded was not worth the amount they gave me. The last thing I want to say is when I was 18 I had no money and was working three jobs. After looking everywhere for someone who would finance me . I met Bill Nemnich at a restaurant . (Tom and Betty’s ) I didn’t know anything about him except he worked for a car dealership. So I told him I needed a car. He said come by today when you get off work. So I walked over and although I had hardly anything needed to buy a car used or new. I walked out with a brand new 1978 cutlass supreme. I never forgot that true act of kindness. This will be the last car I purchase due to my age. My experience was surprisingly the worst car buying
My experience was surprisingly the worst car buying experience in my lifetime. Darrell was NOT the problem. I came to the your dealership ONLY BEACUSE of an internet ad we wanted to check out. We had a list of used cars we were shopping at Duval Ford and only wanted to borrow 24 grand. I told this to Romeo, one of your sales managers. Of course the advertised car was not available less than 24 hours after my inquiry, Because of the late hour and bad weather we decided on the certified used (which we did not test drive) instead of a new Trak (which we did test drive) because we were told the warranties are much better. I was told that the car had 22,000 miles..actual almost 29000! We were told that the price difference between a new Trak and the CUC we were looking at was because the CUC was an upgraded version of the new Trak we test drove. NOT TRUE. When the monthly was way more than we expected the account manager changed the monthly payment by almost 25 bucks a month, literally with a few clicks. No sales managers approval..which is an absolute first…which leads me to believe there was so much money being made he had plenty of room to do it without approval. I got home and immediately saw that we were borrowing 41 grand. I was in shock. This was my biggest mistake. I should have seen the 41 grand at the dealership and refused the deal right then. When I called the very next day after buying the car, all the quick, fast and immediate responses ended, and when I finally reached someone of relevence, I was told because it was a certified used car and not a new car the deal was final..I couldn’t use the law that gives you time after the sale to change your mind. We signed the papers so the car is ours as you have made it clear, a very bitter pill to swallow. To add injury to insult we now have to pay the repair bill for the very costly 30,000 mile regular service for our new certified used car literally weeks after purchasing the car.Needless to say there will be no referrals from this very unhappy customer.

So I told him I needed a car. He said come by today when you get off work. So I walked over and although I had hardly anything needed to buy a car used or new. I walked out with a brand new 1978 cutlass supreme. I never forgot that true act of kindness. This will be the last car I purchase due to my age. My experience was surprisingly the worst car buying
My experience was surprisingly the worst car buying experience in my lifetime. Darrell was NOT the problem. I came to the your dealership ONLY BEACUSE of an internet ad we wanted to check out. We had a list of used cars we were shopping at Duval Ford and only wanted to borrow 24 grand. I told this to Romeo, one of your sales managers. Of course the advertised car was not available less than 24 hours after my inquiry, Because of the late hour and bad weather we decided on the certified used (which we did not test drive) instead of a new Trak (which we did test drive) because we were told the warranties are much better. I was told that the car had 22,000 miles..actual almost 29000! We were told that the price difference between a new Trak and the CUC we were looking at was because the CUC was an upgraded version of the new Trak we test drove. NOT TRUE. When the monthly was way more than we expected the account manager changed the monthly payment by almost 25 bucks a month, literally with a few clicks. No sales managers approval..which is an absolute first…which leads me to believe there was so much money being made he had plenty of room to do it without approval. I got home and immediately saw that we were borrowing 41 grand. I was in shock. This was my biggest mistake. I should have seen the 41 grand at the dealership and refused the deal right then. When I called the very next day after buying the car, all the quick, fast and immediate responses ended, and when I finally reached someone of relevence, I was told because it was a certified used car and not a new car the deal was final..I couldn’t use the law that gives you time after the sale to change your mind. We signed the papers so the car is ours as you have made it clear, a very bitter pill to swallow. To add injury to insult we now have to pay the repair bill for the very costly 30,000 mile regular service for our new certified used car literally weeks after purchasing the car.Needless to say there will be no referrals from this very unhappy customer.

Bought a brand new 2026 Colorado Trail Boss from Nimnicht
Bought a brand new 2026 Colorado Trail Boss from Nimnicht in March and it's been nothing but problems. Paint issues right off the bat, then a steering defect diagnosed in May that I was told was safe to drive while we waited 2 months for parts. Shafts got replaced twice and the same issue kept coming back. Truck's now been in the shop over 2 weeks for a 3rd attempt on the same problem, I had to wait days just to get a loaner, and half the time I had to call just to get an update on my own truck. I emailed the GM directly hoping he'd at least talk to me himself. Today I went in expecting exactly that and he never once came out to speak with me. Instead I got his sales manager who didn't really seem concerned or like he actually wanted to solve the problem, just focused on selling me something instead. The service manager told me they had a new fix they hadn't even tried yet and that I'd basically be the test case to see if it actually works, which is not something you want to hear about a steering issue. Then that same night I got a call saying it's fixed. This was my first vehicle purchase from this dealership, and after everything, all they offered was a trade-in that would've cost me thousands more plus a new credit pull. The GM couldn't be bothered to show his face through any of it. Left with nothing resolved. Not the experience I expected as a first time customer here.

Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about my experience with the Service Department. I have been a loyal customer of this dealership and, including my recent purchases, have purchased multiple vehicles from Nimnicht Chevrolet over the years. Because of that history, I would expect to be treated with respect and receive quality customer service when I bring my vehicles in for service. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the Service Department was extremely disappointing. I found one of the young ladies I dealt with to be very rude and disrespectful, and the overall experience was frustrating enough that I ultimately decided to take my son’s 2017 black Camaro to another Chevrolet location service department in Jacksonville, Florida for service. That should not have to happen, especially with a customer who has continued to support the dealership by purchasing multiple vehicles over the years. Nimnicht Chevrolet really needs to take a serious look at revamping its Service Department and improving the way customers are treated. The sales team can work hard to bring customers through the front door, but if the service experience is poor, you risk losing those customers when it is time for maintenance, repairs, or even their next vehicle purchase. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously. I want to continue doing business with Nimnicht Chevrolet, but the Service Department needs significant improvement. Customers who spend their hard-earned money purchasing vehicles deserve to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect from the sales department all the way through service. Again, Shane O’Brien deserves recognition for being an exceptional salesperson and providing the kind of experience that makes customers want to come back. But the overall experience excellent for the Sale team very poorly for the service department.

If you’re looking for a car for any reason- let Nimnicht Chevrolet on Cassat Ave be your first and only stop! You may be saying “I don’t like Chevy’s” and if that’s the case then they have an arsenal of excellent used cars of other makes and models too. Last night was the second time we have purchased from them and we were happy to see that our previous salesperson, Fred Rivera was still doing what he does! Fred had the most pleasant personality you might ever see in a salesperson of any company! The first car we bought a couple of years ago was for my husband -who is fairly established when the time comes for necessary, important purchases but last night my adult daughter was the customer and you know how that situation can be sometimes 🙄😆. We were in a bind and she absolutely needed a car, but having more than one adult child, I have learned over the years, sometimes the hard way, that we cannot continue to fix their poor choices. Even knowing that the outcome may not have ended favorably for her, I entered the doors with great expectation because I KNEW that Fred and the entire Nimnicht team would treat us kindly, fairly, and respectfully, and even if she didn’t leave the dealership with her own car, there’s a great lesson in the complete car buying process so she still had only great things to gain from the experience. After we explained what we were looking for, Fred took the reigns and from there the outcome worked out better then we could have ever expected! My daughter drove away with a car, valuable financial lessons and information, insurance 101, 😆 and a new sense of gratitude. She learned patience, and I believe gained a little more confidence during this experience and confidence goes a long way when you have only your own finances to work with. She will value this purchase more than anything my husband and I have ever purchased or done for her because she now understands the power and importance of finances, credit, loyalty, and building bridges. That’s what Nimnicht is about-yes, selling cars obviously is the goal but the nature of their business from my experiences with them has always been more than that. They’re not just going to put you in something that will have you in worse shape down the line just to get a sale. I truly feel they care about each individual customer scenario, and treat them as such. My family will forever be loyal to Nimnicht Chevrolet and as long as Fred works there, he is my forever salesperson! Thank you Fred, and we also thank the entire team at Nimnicht!

It's unusual to associate the words, HONESTY, INTEGRITY, and COMPASSION with a car dealership. The people at Nimnicht have all that and more. Ericka at internet sales, Eddie with Finance, and Nick who gets the cars ready were fantastic people who really care about their customers and any issues that a customer might have. I'm an old guy and I have never dealt with car sales people who were really concerned with their customer ! I will always go to Nimnicht first even though I'm 150 miles away.
