We contacted this dealership last Friday after it
We contacted this dealership last Friday after it appeared on the Costco Auto Buying program website for certified pre-owned vehicles (Chevy Tahoe). After discussion with a salesperson by the name of Nick Everhart, we were told there were no certified pre-owned Tahoes available, but two new ones would be arriving, and the Costco Auto program would apply. We spent the next two days researching and confirming this is where we wanted to purchase from. We reached out to Nick this morning to finalize a deal. After providing all information we received a call back from Nick stating that the Costco Auto program offer would not be honored, and the price would now be almost $7k more. I have submitted a complaint to Costco about this dealership’s violation but would like others to be warned about the bait and switch tactics that occur.

I dealt with Howard Roberts at Nimnicht Chevrolet for more than one year in connection with the purchase of a Chevrolet Corvette. For more than one year, Mr. Roberts promised I was on Nimnicht’s Order Waitlist for the Corvette. He repeated assured me that my purchase would be at MSRP. After taking my deposit, ordering the car, and taking delivery of the car at the dealership, Mr. Roberts, with the support of General Sales Manager Scott Garman, demanded $10,000 above list. Mr. Roberts and Mr. Garman acknowledged Mr. Robert’s multiple repeated representations, over the course of more than one year, that I would not “pay a penny over list (or sticker),” but said that “circumstances had changed.” The changed circumstances they pointed to was that customers were now willing to pay over MSRP for the car. I took delivery of the car, agreeing to pay $10,000 over MSRP, but as an attorney and frequent xxxxxx litigant, I advised them at the time I would sue to recover my damages. Nimnicht Chevrole’s malfeasance in employing this deceptive sales practice is unfortunate, but will not go unremedied.

I thought they were a fire and forget dealership but that simply isn’t the case. They were the only dealership to follow up after one phone call. Their staff was always really easy to work with and Laverne always made herself available. The entire process went smoothly and everything as delivered as promised. No bait and switch, no hidden costs, no last minute fees. What was discussed on the phone is what happened at the Dealer. We were in and out in less than 90 minutes. Due to the scarcity of new vehicles, I could not get the exact Silverado that I wanted but I'm very pleased with the Silverado LD that I purchased. Like everyone, I wish I could have gotten a little lower price. I was hoping to get out the door for $38K but the final price was a little over $39K. It took three hours + to complete the transaction. Craig did a good job showing the available trucks and working with us the best he could. Both myself and my wife left Nimnicht Chevrolet with a good truck.
